It is the third type of handle you can make on your flat bottom paper bags. Unlike twisted and flat handles, die-cut handles are made by cutting the flat bottom paper bags.

Manufacturing Process

Three paper rolls unwind at the same time. A big paper roll for making a paper bag and two smaller paper rolls according to the handle patch’s width are used.

The automatic gluing system applies glue on both sides of the paper web to attach paper patches. The smaller paper rolls are cut automatically into patches according to the preset dimensions.

Two cutters work side by side. Die-cutter cuts the handle, and sharp knives cut the bag according to the predetermined bag length.

After the cutting comes to the bottom formation and bottom gluing, in the end, automatic bag counting is followed by finished paper bag accumulation.

Die-Cut Handle Shapes

The most common die-cut shapes for handles are rectangular, oval, and D-shape. You can get a customized die cutter for making a patch handle.

However, cutting styles are limited with patch handles as compared to die-cut windows.
